VIDEO POST: Talking To Your Boss About Your Career Goals


Talking to your boss about anything even remotely important can be a little awkward sometimes, but it’s super important that you talk to your boss about your career goals.

The relationship you have with your boss will either make you or break you as far as your career is concerned, so make sure that you have some candid conversations about what your short and long term goals are.

Your boss might be a lot of things: brilliant, inspiring, motivating, or a total jack ass, but one thing’s for sure…your boss is NOT a mind reader.

So here are a few of my thoughts on that topic and why I think that convo is one that needs to happen sooner rather than later.

    Being open to your boss with what you really feel and what you would like to achieve in your time with your organization could be one of the best career move that you could do, because he/she can guide you and mentor you on how you can reach that goal.

    Don’t you think there is a generational gap? I think there are fewer people in leadership positions willing to let you learn, and to help guide you, because we are a generation that learns fast and soon we can be doing their job more efficiently. What are your thoughts on this?

    “Your boss is not a mind reader” this is the greatest line in this post in video. We have to talk with our manager. Either he is a bad one or good one.
