Joe and I honeymooned at Sandals St. Lucia Regency La Toc earlier this month, and let me just say, that place was absolutely beautiful!
Minus the fact that Joe got tonsillitis the minute we got there, we had the most amazing time, so here are some of our favorite pictures from our trip!
We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pools, and that was totally fine with us, given the swim-up pool bar!
Yea, that made us happy! Pina Coladas all day!
We’re from Miami, so we’re used to being out in the pools and at the beach, but the scenery here was drop dead gorgeous. I mean, look at this!
We were lucky enough to spend one of our days there lounging in a cabana.
That’s the way to do it guys! So peaceful and relaxing. I also got to rock my big hat! Don’t hate on the hat.
Best thing about that day? Besides being able to lounge around with my new hubby without a care in the world? I got to read a book!!
Yea, I finished The Girl on The Train in 2 days! It was crazy good! I couldn’t put it down, so I highly recommend you pick that one up.
Back to our relaxing… In St. Lucia, there are three different Sandals resorts, so you’re able to hop on their free shuttle and venture off to the other hotels. One of the days we took a day trip to Sandals Grande which was a little more touristy, but still, the views were beautiful.
Let’s see…what else? Oh, I made a friend! Her name was Ginger. There were cats everywhere!! So naturally, I loved the place, being a crazy cat lady, myself.
We’d see her every time we took the shuttle back to our room, and everyone was in love with this kitty.
Joe and I also had a really good time at the spa. After a stressful few months of wedding planning, we really needed it.
We didn’t do any of our massages out here, but next time we will. Right in front of the ocean? How much more relaxing can it get? Regardless, I had fun being pampered. Top buns at the spa!
And then comfy robes back in the room! Need to buy me a nice comfy robe like this one!
We did splurge a little on this trip and we had a butler suite, which was definitely worth the money. We got this old-school phone that we carried around with us at all times. Whenever we needed food, or drinks, we’d call our butlers with the phone and they catered to our needs the whole week. My favorite thing? Breakfast delivered to our room every morning!
And 24/7 room service. God, how I love room service.
And sushi!! Oh man, now I’m hungry.
I also made Joe take the typical professional photos while we were there. He hates pictures, but he was such a good sport. We met our photographer at sunset, and we were able to get some pretty shots.
Aaaaaand these we took ourselves! Poor Joe…I made him take a million selfies this trip.
The last day before we left, we took an 6 hour “Sunset” cruise where we hopped on a catamaran and got to see the Pitons that everyone talks about there. Totally worth it.
We then got to go snorkeling right in between the two Pitons, something I hadn’t done in ages.
So yea, that was basically our trip! Oh, and one very drunken night at the Piano Bar where I sang Feliz Navidad in front of a whole bunch of strangers and made a whole lot of new friends. Joe videoed it all, so he now has new blackmail material. I need to find a way to delete it.
But we’ll be back, for sure, and we’ll definitely be trying out some of the other Sandals resorts in the future! Maybe Antigua? Yea, that sounds good. I already told Joe he has to make it up to me since he was sick half the time.
