If you’re the kind of person who wakes up without an alarm at 5:00am and skips to the kitchen to have a cup of coffee with a huge freaking smile on your face, well…good for you! But that’s definitely not me. I am NOT a morning person, never have been. But I’m happy to say I’m working on it, because I’m on a mission to make my workday mornings more enjoyable. So here are few things I definitely recommend doing that I’ve found to be helpful.
Pick Out Your Clothes & Accessories The Night Before
I used to think that people who did this were crazy. Like, come on…who has time to pick out their clothes the night before and set it aside in a nice little corner all ready for the next day?! Well, I MAKE time for that now, because you know what I DON’T have time for? Spending 30 minutes in my closet trying on 15 different outfits because nothing looks good and I have zero idea what to wear. That’s the fastest way to make me a giant stress ball, and I’m all about ZERO stress in the mornings.
Listen To A Fun Podcast While You’re Getting Ready
Whether it takes you 15 minutes or an hour in the morning to get ready for work, it’s always so much better to spend it being somewhat productive. So instead of listening to silence or the depressing news in the morning, how about you open up iTunes and listen to a fun podcast? Right now I’m LOVING Sophia Amaruso’s Girl Boss Radio. Gets my brain working really early!
Take A Few Minutes To Stretch & Meditate
Before I even get out of bed, I take a few minutes to stretch because I don’t know…I’m 25 years old but some days I feel like I’m 87 and I’m stiff as a log when I wake up. So I sit up in my bed, indian style, and stretch for a bit. It feels AMAZING. Ahhh I’m doing it right now and it feels glorious. I also take a few minutes to meditate. I haven’t gotten into traditional “Ohm” kind of meditating yet, but I clothes my eyes and I think about how awesome the day’s going to be. I think about all the things I’m grateful for and all the things I want to accomplish. That gets me in a really positive mainframe and it makes my mornings so much more enjoyable.
Hydrate With Lots of Water
Chug. Chug. Chug! Okay, don’t chug, but drink at least a whole glass of water before you leave your house in the morning. Water with lemon is even better. Starting off your day being hydrated works wonders for your body my friend, so give this a shot and you’ll see how much better you feel all day long.
Make Packing Your Lunch Super Easy
So listen, it’s no surprise to anyone here that I don’t have time to cook. I’m really busy, man! I’ve got a full time job, I manage my blog, I’m promoting my new book, etc. etc. etc. What is free time? Heck if I know these days! So yea, definitely not spending a whole lot of time in the kitchen. But I have to eat, right?! Can’t starve and die! And the option of just buying lunch at work is NOT an option because everything’s so expensive!
So I’ve made it rather easy on myself by making it SUPER SIMPLE to pack my lunch! First of all, I got this new lunchbox that I love probably as much as I love my cat right now.
NO PROB LLAMA!!!
Sorry, I’m a loser. Forgive me.
But any who, I’ve been picking up some Lean Cuisines at my local Walmart on the weekends and BAM! Lunches are ready to go for the week! See how easy that is?
Lean Cuisine offers a super yummy delicious collection of entres that cater to all kinds of different moods. Pasta…chicken…thai food! You name it, they got it!
And they’re constantly coming out with new varieties to make sure you don’t get bored of their meals. Right now they’ve got four new limited time varieties that you might want to try:
- LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Cheese & Fire-Roasted Chile Tamale
- LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Thai – Style Ginger Beef
- LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Chicken Tikka Masala
- LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Southwest – Style Potato Bake
Yep! On-trend flavors with tons of modern health and wellness benefits. Whaaaat?! That’s right! Quick, easy, and full of health benefits! Organic ingredient options, gluten-free options, protein-packed options, something for everyone!
Just pop one in the microwave for a few minutes and just like that, lunch is served, baby!
So if you’ve never given Lean Cuisine a shot, head on over to your local Walmart and pick up a few to try. Heck! Stock your whole fridge with them if you want to, and make your mornings that much better by making your lunch super-easy to pack.
It’s all about the least amount stress possible, so don’t make things harder than they have to be!
