July Blog Income Report

Who can believe we’re already in August???

10 more days till my 25th birthday, though, so I’m pretty excited about that!

So now it’s time for me to share my July Blog Income Report, and yea, I’m really proud of all the work I’ve accomplished this month.

Like I’ve said a thousand times before, it’s not easy.

But definitely definitely worth it.

In case you need a recap, feel free to check out my reports for June and for April & May.

But here’s what July looked like:

TOTAL: $1,420.44 (40,812 page views)

The biggest thing for me this month was the fact that my page views pretty much doubled. Last month, page views were at 21,747 (which was still huge for me), so I’m like completely dumbfounded right now.

Again, I’m contributing the increase in income and increase in page views to the fact that I’m finally looking at my blog as a business. It’s no longer just a hobby for me, so it’s time to get serious about this.

I’ve been spending more and more time on my blog, but I’m happy that the energy I’ve been spending hasn’t been for nothing.

As I mentioned last month, however, I really need to keep looking at other ways of monetizing. Sponsored posts have generated a lot of income, but those opportunities aren’t always going to be there. I’m already looking at the sponsored post opportunities for August from some of the networks I’m a part of, and I can already tell that there aren’t a whole lot of them that are a fit for my blog.

So I need to brainstorm a bit on that.

It’s been so busy that I haven’t gotten around to looking for a new blog theme, nor have I been able to work on my Media Kit.

But I NEED to do that.

AND I’ve been waiting to use my new Ban.do agenda to do some planning so now that it’s finally August and I can finally use it, I’m off to write down my goals and plan out my next few blog posts!

So tell me!!! Anything else you guys have been doing to help monetize your blog?? Let’s help each other out in the comments!!

Wow congrats! I really like how you post about your blog income.. It’s interesting to see and serves as inspiration to other bloggers! How did you get your page views to double this month? Did it have to do with social media?

Wow, this is very impressive – congratulations! I definitely want to start monetizing my blog eventually, but it seems very overwhelming. I don’t even know where to start! lol

Hey Kayla, great stuff and congrats to you! I am new to the whole “blogging” thing but I have found great advice through Remit Sethi of “I will teach you to be Rich.” Sans title, his strategies are pretty sound, and I am absolutely dying to join his Zero to Launch community to really learn more nuts and bolts of building and growing my online business (I just need to find the funds for the course, it isn’t cheap!). He focuses on producing an online product to sell mostly in this course.

It seems that your readers are really interested in learning how you bumped your traffic, increased your monthly income, and just blogging in general. This seems like a great place to start, maybe an ebook or quick course? You already seem to have solid readers so this may be a good direction.

It’s amazing how much you income has increased in just a few short months! Congrats! Your income reports have been so helpful. I’d never heard of Clever Girls, Media.net, or the SITS iSway network before I read your posts and now I’m pursuing them as possible options for monetizing my own blog. You’re a great inspiration to us bloggers who are established, but not yet at six digit page views.
