I'VE BECOME A CRAZY Cat Lady And I'm Totally OK With That

I used to hate cats. Like big time, hated cats. I thought they were gross and smelly and I think I was also semi-afraid of them on some level.

But then one day about 4 years ago, I found this guy in a parking lot. I put him in a box, took him home, and my life changed forever.

Hi I'm New Here

My parents HATED cats and would have never let me have one, had I asked for permission. But once they got to know him and saw how cute he was, they loved him and he was instantly a part of the family.

My Cat Is Cuter Than Yours

Come on… could you really send that cat back? Not so much.

Graham’s the prettiest cat I’ve ever known, and he’s also my best friend. I mean, really…look how pretty he is. This is one of his modeling shots….

My Cat Is A Model

Let’s see…what else is there to know about him?

He knows how to party. Caught him stealing my margarita the other day…

Graham Likes To Party

He likes to take selfies…

No matter how many toys I buy him he’ll always prefer to play inside boxes and paper bags…

Mysterious Land Of All Of The Fun

And when he’s not feeling good, I take care of him as if he were my child.

Because he is…let’s get that straight. God, I love this cat so much.

Sick Cat

He also has a thing about taking pictures with me. It’s like he’s on a mission to NEVER take a good one when it’s just me and him.

I Love My Cat

Love My Cat 2

See?? One day we’ll get it right.

Now the first couple years of his life, it was just me and him. But when I moved in with Joe, Graham came with me, and I was nervous for a bit about whether or not Joe would get along with him. It’s really funny because Joe will spend so much time telling anyone who’ll listen that he hates our cat. But he doesn’t…

Joe Loves This Cat

He really really doesn’t. And that makes me love him so much more.

I mean, how cute is our family portrait?

So now that it’s pretty clear that I’ve officially become a crazy cat lady and I’m happy to admit it, you can see that being able to provide Graham with the very best of everything is super important to me.

That’s why I love shopping at Target for all my pet needs. While I’m there picking up my everyday essentials and spending a ridiculous amount of money on all the beautiful things I may or may not have any space for in my house, I’m able to pick up Graham’s IAMS cat food too.

Target’s got a really nice pet section where you can find pet supplies, toys, treats, and pretty much anything that you’d typically have to go to a pet store for. But instead of having to make that extra trip, you can get it all done in one place. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the time or the energy to go to 5 different stores on the weekends. Unless I’ve got a gift card for shoes. That’s a totally different story.

All The Pet Stuff At Target

So yea, I usually leave Target with a few toys that he’ll play with ONCE, and his IAMS cat food. I really love that the brand offers formulas for different life stages and for specific common needs, because all pets are different, and it’s important to cater to their lifestyles.

Graham, for example, needs to go on a serious diet. He’s like 16 lbs! Because he’s lazy and stays inside all day and doesn’t get much exercise. That’s why I buy him the IAMS Protective Health Indoor Weight and Hairball Care formula. It’s absolutely perfect for that fatty!

Anyway, in case you’ll be shopping at Target during the next few weeks, be sure to checkout these Cartwheel deals that’ll be going on:

Any little bit helps! All of us pet owners know that taking care of our fur friends can get expensive sometimes, but it’s totally worth it!

How about you guys? Any of you shop at Target for your pets? What’s your favorite way to spoil them? Let me know in the comments below! Or just link to an Instagram post of you and your pet! Would LOVE to see those!

I buy my cat every toy I lay my eyes on at Target and he plays with it for all of one day, hides it somewhere in the house then goes back to playing with whatever piece of trash he can find. So frustrating!

Hahaha I know! I unpacked a printer that I bought the other day and a piece of the packing styrofoam broke off…he had a BLAST playing with it lol

I totally get what you mean about not asking for permission. I brought home several cats and a dog that way! Sometimes you just gotta go for it with situations like that. Rescuing animals is the best!!

Getting more of a kick out of the packaging that gifts/toys come in, rather than the gift/toy itself?…yeah that’s something that babies and toddlers do as well. Remember that little gem of a fact and you’ll save yourself loads of money when/if you have kids 🙂 And you don’t sound like the crazy cat lady…just a really great cat mom. Go out and get about 5 more cats and that title is all yours 😉 -Misty

So cute! I’m more of a dog person, but I love cats too! We live in a small apartment that barely contains our energetic dog, but I’d love to get a cat as well when we buy a house!

When I was younger, all I ever wanted was a pet. My parents promised my brothers and I that they’d get us one, but then we found out that my mom was allergic to fur, so we couldn’t. I haven’t really interacted with cats or dogs very much, so I don’t really know what to do with them, and I feel really awkward when I’m with a friend who’s an avid cat/dog lover because my excitement isn’t up to par with them. But omg Graham is so cute!! Maybe after I graduate and get my own place I’ll finally have my own little buddy 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

We always had pets growing up- dogs, cats, rabbits, fish… even chickens, lol. Right now my crazy children are about all the “pets” that I can handle, but I can’t wait to bring pets into the home for them to enjoy! 🙂

Unfortunately I can’t have a pet (sad) but I would totally get a cat. I snuggle my friend’s cats as much as they’ll let me. Their paws smell like corn chips, whats up with that?

Graham is a cutie! you’re lucky you found each other 🙂

Haha I love that you used to hate cats and now you love them! I’m definitely more of a dog person myself, but there is a feral cat that comes to our house who we are trying to tame! Maybe one day we can be cute cat people like you guys!

I Love Cats, my hubby was not a cat person either as he had only ever own dogs, but once we got our baby Kira he was a cat lover. I lost my baby about 12 months ago which was really tough and now I am trying to Convince my hubby to get another one.

Awww! He’s so sweet! Both of my kitties are adopted and my oldest is from a similar situation as Graham. He was abut 4 weeks old when I got him and he was supposed to just be a foster. His mama was a stray and had been hit by a car, leaving him all alone in the middle of the road. A rescue group got in touch with me to foster and he’s been here ever since! Nearly 5 years! Talk about failed fostering… but he was so quickly my baby that I had to keep him forever. <3
