December Blog Income Report

December Blog Income Report

December was an AMAZING month.

A crazy month, that’s for sure…but an amazing one.

I had more blog work than ever, and for that, I’m super thankful.

But dude, I’m tired now.

To be honest, I’m a tiny bit burnt out.

But whatever, gotta keep going!

For those of you who’ve been following along my previous blog income reports, you know that the majority of the money I make off of this blog comes from working with brands on sponsored content.

Now, whenever I choose to work with brands, I try to make sure I can still create content that you guys will like.

I only want to create content that’s fun and hopefully somewhat interesting!

Like writing about adult diapers…yea, I could probably make a few hundred bucks doing that, but no…I’m not going there.

Never ever ever.

But anyway, in case you haven’t had a chance to check these out, you can check out my other blog income reports here:

Now for December…

DECEMBER

Miscellaneous Sponsored Work: $790

Social Fabric Sponsored Posts: $1,080

Clever Girls Sponsored Posts: $300

Building A Framework: $10

Google Adsense: $31.31

Media.Net: $79.12

Amazon Associates: $90.87

Share-A-Sale: $0.28

Linquia: $9.72

Coaching Call: $25

TOTAL: $2,416.30 (52,523 Pageviews)

So yea, there you have it!

Lots of sponsored work, which was great, but it was A LOT of work!

Joe’s getting used to me ignoring him by now.

I was happy to see my affiliate income go up this month. December’s obviously a month when people are buying stuff, so that contributed to an increase in my Amazon Associates income.

Also, I finally hit my goal of reaching 50k+ page views!

December was a great month for page views, which contributed to an increase in Ad revenue, so that’s always good.

It’s crazy how this one post keeps bringing in a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT of traffic.

Love those unicorn posts.

This month, I’ll be trying to get myself organized for the new year.

I’ve been using my Ban.do agenda as my editorial calendar, and I’ve been going through the next couple of weeks, planning upcoming posts to keep me on track!

Truth is, I can’t tell you how excited I am for 2016!

Big things are happening, and I’m still struggling to wrap my head around it.

My book’s due out in June, so I’ll be working with my publishing team on that, and I’ll also be working my butt off to keep producing great content for this blog.

Because I’m kind of on a mission.

A mission to prove a whole bunch of people wrong.

Those people who think blogging’s not a “serious profession” or that blogging’s just a silly hobby…

Okay friends, last time I checked, you don’t make $2k+ in a month off of a silly hobby.

But okay, those people can keep thinking that, and we can keep doing what we love!

Thanks so much for checking out this month’s income report, and stay tuned for a whole bunch of good stuff soon to come!

And in case you haven’t heard, I’ve been offering 1-on-1 coaching sessions via phone to help bloggers take their blogs to the next level. So if you’re interested, I’d love to chat with you! $25 for a one hour session. Would love to share any advice I can give you, and make a new friend along the way! You’re killing it! And yeah, I’d say it’s definitely more than a hobby 🙂 You made more than I did in a month at my last full-time job. (No wonder why I left to strike out on my own!) You go girl! Can’t wait to see what else you accomplish!
