Blogger Life: Transforming My Home Office With Staples

Thank you, Staples, for sponsoring today’s post and helping me transform my home office. As always, all opinions are my own. #MakeMoreHappen

For the longest time, I’ve wanted a home office, and today, I’m SO EXCITED to share what it looks like with you guys! It’s still a work-in-progress, but I finally have a dedicated workspace where I can sit down and get some stuff done! It’s just a little corner of my bedroom, but I love it so much and I couldn’t have done it without some help from my friends at Staples and their Copy and Print department.

So let’s talk about this. First things first, I decided that it was finally time to get myself some business cards. And if you’re a creative business owner or a blogger, I highly recommend you get some too. The process was super simple, and that made me happy because I don’t have time for anything complicated these days. I  just downloaded a business card template from Creative Market, edited it in Photoshop, and then uploaded it onto the Staples website and placed my order. The next day, they were ready for pickup!

7 Must-Haves for Outdoor Entertaining

Joe and I have been in our new house for almost a year now (how crazy is that?) and since we’re officially grown ups, we’re looking forward to doing a lot of entertaining over the next couple of months.

As excited as we are though, outdoor entertaining is a first for us. Up until we moved into our new home we never really had a backyard, so outdoor entertaining was never our thing. But now we DO have a yard, and I can’t tell you how excited we are to get it all fixed up!

Since I’ve been doing some research lately, I thought I’d share my 7 must-haves for outdoor entertaining. Here’s what I’ve decided we can’t live without.

Prioritizing Me-Time With Some Help From Groupon

Thank you, Groupon Coupons, for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all opinions are my own.

I’m the worst when it comes to self-care.

I mean, I’m a serious hot mess these days because I’m so ridiculously busy.

I’m legit asking myself questions like, “Okay, am I going to shower today or get to that blog post that’s due?”

That’s how bad it is right now.

It’s super embarrassing to admit it, but I’m totally neglecting myself lately. I’m focusing on meeting my business goals which is great, but if I’m physically and mentally exhausted all the time, how can I possibly produce quality work?

Staying Comfy and Confident As A Busy Millennial Blogger

Guys!! I finally started setting up my at-home office, and I’m LOVING how it’s coming along! How freaking cute is this chair my mom bought me?! Best. Momma. Ever.

But it was definitely time for a desk in my room, because I’ve got a ton to do, and I can’t seem to find enough time to get everything done.

I’m OBSESSED with my new job at BlackDog Advertising, working on a whole bunch of new projects for the blog, and I’m also promoting the heck out of my new book! If you haven’t checked it out, please do!

But things have been good! I can’t complain!

keep your house clean

So up until a week ago, Joe and I had some help in regards to cleaning our house. We had a lady who would come and clean for us every other week, but she moved away and now we need to figure things out for ourselves.

Between working full-time, managing this blog, promoting my new book, and having the tiniest of a social life, when the heck am I supposed to find time to clean?!

The last thing I want to do is spend the entire weekend cleaning, when instead I can be using that time to finally relax.

So after a lot of thinking, I decided that there are 5 super easy things I can do EVERY DAY to keep my house clean. And by doing these things every day, I hopefully won’t find myself in a position to have to spend THE ENTIRE weekend cleaning!

And the best part?! I went to Target to get some cleaning supplies, and I found these ocelo™ No-Scratch Scrub Sponges which are going to make this cleaning stuff really easy (and maybe even a little fun)!

10 Music Festival Must-Haves

music festival must haves

I’m 100% jealous of everyone at Lollapalooza this year. There, I said it. If there’s one thing that I don’t stress enough on my blog, it’s my absolute love for music. And not like mainstream music. No, I love all things alternative/indie and I love falling in love with super new and undiscovered artists. That’s one of the many reasons why I love Spotify so much.

But OMG what I would have given to watch Bloc Party, St. Lucia, Wild Child, and my girl Lana Del Rey perform this year. Oh well, attending a music festival is definitely on my to-do list this for the near future, so I’ll have to see which one Joe and I can make it out to.

But for those of you planning on being at Lollapalooza or any other music festival anytime soon, here are 10 music festival must-haves so you can have the best experience possible.
